This cosmos was one of my first pieces using a black background. I love the simplicity and stark contrast in play. Folks have commented it looks like watercolor, and I have to agree. These petals are super delicate and sheer which leads to the watercolor effect.

Flowers were grown in my backyard and preserved to hold their color as long as possible. The flowers will develop more character and eventually fade. Please keep the flowers out of direct sunlight and humid areas to prevent fading.
